OG, Team Spirit and Team Falcons separated themselves from the pack by going 3-0 through three matches at DreamLeague Season 27 on Friday.
Another nine teams sit right behind at 2-1, including BetBoom Team, which entered the day atop the group-stage standings but suffered its first loss, 2-0 to OG.
The $1 million Dota 2 event features 24 teams starting in a Swiss System group stage. All matches are best-of-three, with the top eight teams advancing to the double-elimination playoffs, which run from Dec. 17-21.
Playoff matches will all be best-of-three ahead of the best-of-five grand final.
The championship team will receive $200,000 in prize money and a $30,000 club reward. The runner-up side will get $125,000 and a $25,000 club reward.
On Friday, OG annihilated BetBoom Team in a quick 21 minutes on red and 33 minutes on green. Nikko 'Force' Bilocura of the Philippines posted an average kills-deaths-assists ratio of 8.5-2.5-10.5 to lead OG.
Team Spirit took down Team Liquid in three maps, sandwiching 30-minute and 42-minute victories on green around Liquid's 64-minute win on red. Illya 'Yatoro' Mulyarchuk of Ukraine posted 10 kills plus nine assists in the final map to power Spirit to victory.
Team Falcons also went the distance with PARIVISION, falling in 45 minutes on red before rallying to win in 41 minutes on red and 46 minutes on green. Falcons relied on Oliver 'skiter' Lepko of Slovakia, who notched 13 kills and seven assists on the final map.
